Trapper Knife with Mammoth Tooth Handles
Past work, not for saleThis Buck trapper knife was customized by Rough Cut Lapidary with polished mammoth tooth handles. The tooth displays prominent cream, tan, amber, brown, and dark gray banding created by its natural internal structure. The alternating layers give the handles a bold striped appearance. The knife measures 3.5 inches closed, with blade lengths of 2 5/8 inches. This piece has been sold and is preserved in the Rough Cut Lapidary gallery as an example of past work.
About Mammoth ToothMammoth tooth preserves complex internal tooth structure that can produce distinctive bands, layers, and colors when cut and polished.
