Trapper Knife with Mammoth Tooth Handles

Past work, not for sale

This trapper knife features polished mammoth tooth handles with striking blue-gray, cream, brown, and reddish-brown banding created by the natural internal structure of the tooth. The alternating layers are especially prominent across the handles and give this piece a distinctive striped appearance. The knife measures 3.5 inches closed, with blade lengths of 2 5/8 inches. This piece has been sold and is preserved in the Rough Cut Lapidary gallery as an example of past work.
