About Arizona Petrified WoodPetrified wood forms when buried wood is gradually mineralized, commonly by silica-rich groundwater, while much of the original wood structure is preserved. When cut and polished, the mineralized material can reveal wood grain, cellular structure, and a wide range of natural colors. This piece was made using petrified wood from Arizona.
